The University has three locations in Hatfield. The pitch is on the de Havilland Campus, situated at the crossroads of the A1001 and A1057 in Hatfield Business Park. Please note that the changing rooms and pitch are located across Albatross Way, and not by the main Sports Centre - see map:
From the A1(M) north exit at Jct 4 signposted A1001. At roundabout take 3rd exit to A1001 Hatfield and galleria. Continue on A1001 following signs to Galleria and Hertfordshire Sports Village. Bypass Galleria entrance, at next traffic lights turn right onto A1057 St Albans and next right into Hatfield Business Park, and the car park is immediately on your left.
From the A1(M) south exit at Jct 3. Follow the signs for the A1001 Hatfield and Galleria. Take the 2nd left to Hatfield Business Park/Galleria and Hertfordshire Sports Village (ignore sign to university). At next traffic light turn left onto A1057 St Albans and take the next right into Hatfield Business Park, and the car park is immediately on your left.
From the M1 north exit at Jct 7 and take the M10 to Jct 1 (Park Street Roundabout). Take the A414 eastbound (signed A414 Hatfield). At the roundabout of the A1M, take the first left and follow signs for the A1001 Hatfield and Hatfield Business Park (ignore sign to university). At next traffic light turn left onto A1057 St Albans and then right into Hatfield Business Park, and the park is immediately on your left.
From the M1 south exit at Jct 6 and take the A405 to Park Street Roundabout (signed A405 St Albans) then take the A414 eastbound as above.
From the M25 exit at Jct 23 (South Mimms) and take the A1(M) northbound. Follow directions above as from A1(M) south.
Via Public Transport
By rail Trains to Hatfield (Herts) Station run from King's Cross every 30 mins taking 23 mins, going via Finsbury Park, or from Moorgate which has 4 trains an hour, 2 direct stopping trains which take 44 mins, and 2 where you need to change at Finsbury Park which takes 37 mins.
Note: You can use contactless (not Oyster) to travel to Hatfield from London, however for return journeys this is likely to be more expensive than buying a paper ticket. Please check TFL single fare finder vs National Rail before travelling.
The station is 5 minutes by taxi from the de Havilland campus, or you can also take the 300 or 301 bus
which run every 15 mins, and take around 10 mins,
to the Ellenbrook Lane stop.
Walk back up the road to the mini roundabout, and turn left into Albatross Way, and the pitches and changing
rooms will be shortly on your left. The return bus stop is 70yds left at the roundabout when you come back down Albatross Way.
Uno Bus also run the 602, 607 and 641 which stop at the UH de Havilland Campus stop, which is right outside the changing rooms, but these all go more round about routes, and take 5 mins extra or more.
