Hitchin

The venue is a 24 minute walk (1.1 miles) from Hitchin Railway Station, or the station has a busy taxi rank.

Note that you cannot use contactless at Hitchin, but it should be enabled in late 2025. However it is usually cheaper to buy a return ticket, so please check TFL single fare finder vs National Rail before travelling.

If travelling from London it's best to go via the Thameslink from St Pancras, where there are 4 trains an hour, and it takes around 35 mins. Trains also run from King's Cross, but are either overtaken by the trains from St Pancras, or you can take the LNER to Stevenage and change, but that's over ⅓ more expensive, and only save a couple of minutes.

If travelling via the Victoria Line (and possibly other tube lines) it is easier to transfer at Finsbury Park (2 stops north of Kings X/St Pancras) where you only have to go up the stairs from the tube, and then up to the national rail platforms, whereas at St Pancras you have a long walk through the entire station, and then down to the Thameslink.
